Font Book Update

I was installing a new font on Font Book and it appears from the available list of fonts on Keynote and system-wide immediately.

Correct me if I'm wrong but on Mavericks, a restart of the app was required.
Can anyone confirm this?

Because I remember last time I installed a font (on Mavericks), I had to restart Keynote.app

I can't speak for Keynote but I noticed that feature since Snow Leopard on other applications.
