Running OSX 10.4.4 on a dual G5 2.0 with 3 gig of Ram. Last night I installed 2,000 fonts from Fontfolio. Fonts were pulled in with FONTBOOk from my documents directory. I then realized my applications slowed down to a crawl.

I opted to go into FONTBOOk and disable all of the newly installed fonts. Illustrator and Photoshop is still running slow and Microsoft Word loads at snails pace. It seems to hang on optimizing font menu. Once the applications load up all the new fonts are active in the application but yet Fontbook shows them disabled. Tonight I installed FontAgent Pro and it shows all fonts disabled. I tried to enable Fontagent to manage the system fonts but I get error message that I don;t have permission.

What gives? Any help appreciated. How do I undo this mess?
