Font Manager (windows Ugh)

I'm a Mac owner/user, but at work I use a PC (windows 7). I know this is a mac forum, as I visit this site daily.

The Question:

I'm looking for a free font manager for my computer at work. Currently we do not use a font managing system and it gets real annoying tapping thur fonts to find the right one while at work.

What is a good free font manager for windows?

But if you want a list of good Windows font managers, here is one (not all font managers for Windows are included, just these, that I tested):
- High Logic MainType (version 4 comming in this year)
- Font Expert 20xx
- X-Fonter
- Typograf for Windows (version for Win7 comming in Summer 2011 - info on their website)
- Font Fitting Room
- OT1 Font Manager
- Printer's Apprentice
- Insider Softwares Font Agent Pro for Windows (they have just updated the Windows version to 4.1)
- Advanced Font Viewer 5.1 (interface is ... ugly)
- maybe Extensis Suitcase Fusion 3 (try the trial version first)

Some of these font managers are more powerfull and feature rich, than their competitors on the Macintosh platform.

One of the best function of these font managers is the browse folder/font files tabs, where you can see/look at font previews or just look at character maps and the best thing is, you don't need to import or install any of these fonts. This browse feature is integrated in font managers like MainType, X-Fonter, Font Expert, OT1 Font Manager etc. It is quite a time-saver, if you have a very large font collections.

I am using X-Fonter on my main desktop computer (the license price is OK) and Nexus Font Manager on my laptop.

I use FontXploer on my Mac pro & MacBook and love it! I'm looking to try and get something similar to that, but for windows. I'll have to check these out!

I just tried the Xfiles one, is there anyway to activate/deactivate fonts, like in FontXplore?

I want to only have a few fonts activated on my computer(Work) that I need and activate them as needed, can this do that?

Suggestion

You ought to take a look at Fontcase for your Mac. They released a new version not long ago and it's a great application, plus there's a free trial. It's real elegant compared to most of the other font managers out there.
