Hello Mac friends.

What is the default Apple font size (which font, is it 12, 14 or 16 or another size) and how many millimeters is that in real life. I'd like to base my actual lettering based on Apple's default (or your size in millimeters recommendations if possible). I'll be using freehand but I will also use Rotring Lettering Template but which size there is 4mm and 5mm Lettering Stemcils. I'll use which stencil is recommended (4mm or 5mm) and write white gel ink (brand from the inventors of gel ink) on light blue gaffer's tape so I can easily see the label on containers and cords for different Apple and non-Apple gadgets.

Thank you have a blessed sunday and may you too have more legible and organized labeling.

Your question does not make much sense. There is no Apple default font size. The operating system alone uses 8 different sizes (see: macOS built-in text styles). And in text applications (like TextEdit, Pages, Word, InDesign, Freehand, etc.) the user defines the default font and its size (and letter spacing, kerning, leading, etc.).

And from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_(typography):
The DTP point is defined as 1⁄72 of an international inch (1/72 × 25.4 mm ≈ 0.353 mm) [...]
(DTP = DeskTop Publishing point)

So 5mm are roughly 14.2 pt, and 4mm approx. 11.3 pt.
