Dear,

May be, this thread is in the wrong category but today is my first day here and first post. so please pardon my mistake.

I have two questions as follows,

1) I like the fonts (for MS office in Mac and also for pages) like -- "the" in this word ("the") the 't' and 'h' the height of vertical lines should be tall and 'e' should be normal (the same height is also ok). so please suggest me some fonts.

2) MOST IMPORTANT - In Mail app of MacBook Pro, if you select the any email to view, it shows in the blue colour, I want to change the colour to green. HOW I CAN DO IT.

Please see the picture. I HOPE FORUM PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO HELP ME.

Welcome to MacRumors. You actually posted this in the wrong forum (this one is dedicated to discussion of Apple's "Mac Pro" models) but don't feel bad. You're certainly not the first nor the last to do so.

As per your font question, I'm not really that familiar with font design, but it would help if you would give the name of fonts you like the look of. You can easily see samples of every font in your system by opening up the app called "Font Book" on your Mac (Go to Launchpad>Other>Font Book) or from the Finder, click Applications>Font Book. From there you can select a font in the left column and see sample text from it on the right.

On your second question, that blue should be your system's highlight color. Go to System Preferences>General and look for the "Highlight Color" dropdown. You can choose any color your want. It won't just affect Mail but any other app that you click on something to highlight it.

In the future, a post like this is better to make on, say the Mac Basics forum.

Oh my dear friend, You have solved my problem ... thanks a lot. It made me happy. I dont know the font (this was the problem) I want to know the name of he font which has the above mentioned (in previous, 1st question) characteristics. If I could have known the font name, I would have downloaded it.

Thank You very much.
[doublepost=1533408217][/doublepost]@bookemdano I also want to change the colour of the folder on MacBook Pro. I saw the video for it and tried the same steps but it did not worked for me. The new coloured folder image was not getting pasted. I dont know why.

Can you help me with this?? thank you in advance.

I hope you will post any future inquiries in a new post in the forum I indicated. You will get more replies there, whereas here most people will ignore your message since it doesn't have anything to do with the Mac Pro.

There is no built-in way to change the folder color, but with some expertise can be accomplished through use of a free app called liteicon. https://freemacsoft.net/liteicon/

Since you don't know the name of the font you are interested in, that is why you should use the Font Book app to look through all of the fonts installed on your Mac (there are a lot). It will show you sample text for each font you select so you can look visually to find the one that is pleasing to you and then on the left-hand side you will see the name of it.

Sorry, I forgot to change the category of the topic. I will take care in future. thanks
