Has anyone been having problems with this game, in terms of it running really slowly and taking up nearly all of the CPU?

It seems when ever i play on it the fans are always going.

Does anyone know of any tips to make it run quicker? Also when in full screen mode i alsways get two black lines at the side. Is there anyway to get rid of those?

I have a Macbook 1.83 CD, 2gb RAM.

FM is a VERY processor intensive app so yeah I am afaid your fans will almost always be running. Your MB should run it really fast though, if it isnt, it might be because FM is not universal binary(not sure if an update is available or not).

That's the same model of MacBook that I'm running FM2007 on – the fans do come on from time to time so that's normal, I don't have any issues with the speed of the game though.

Out of interest, how many leagues are you running? Obviously, the more leagues you have the more your MacBook has to process, so cutting down on a division or two might help it run smoother.

I have a Macbook 1.8ghz Dual Core Duo 2, 512mb RAM, and it runs fine with the latest patch (7.0.2). I would recommend not running more than 3 different countries with max leagues from them.

You're right, it was indeed released as a Universal Binary. The OP's problems lie elsewhere, methinks.

I only have all the english and scottish leagues running. Maybe its just me wanting it to run faster. It isnt painful slow, i just thought it might run a bit quicker, its still playable though.

Yes, 7.0.2 is the latest. You can find it on SIGames, however you need to have registered on there site.

7.0.2 also comes with a data update for the January 2007 transfers.
