Hello.
I bought recetly a copy of Football Manager2008 and i just can't install it on my macbook.
When I launch the installer, it pops about 5 secs on the dock and then disappears from the dock.
I tryed launching from the terminal and its give the error "cannot open binary file"
Any1 has any clue?
I'm using leopard

Have you had the demo or a previous version of Football Manager installed on your Mac? Some people are finding that they're having problems because there are still files from older versions buried away on their machines that are causing conflicts and stuff.

Give this a try – take a look in your home folder in Library/Caches/Sports Interactive/ and see if any folders with "Football Manager" in their name are in there. If there are, delete them and try launching the application again. Hopefully clearing the cache like this might do the trick.

One other potential cause of your problem... apparently some people suspected that OS 10.4.10 was causing some conflicts with the game, it might be the case that it isn't playing nicely with Leopard yet? I'd expect if it is a clash with the OS then it's something that'll be resolved in a future patch.

No, i didnt install any demo's here. I'm with a clean leopard install...
1 friend of mine installed in his macbook and the game runs great..
his macbook=my macbook
any more tips?

yes he's running leopard to, but upgraded from tiger...
My problem is that i cannot install the game, so the patch is not a solution

The properties files is missing an essential property: lax.main.class. Please make sure it exists in the properties file: relauncher.properties

I press ok. and then this window appears

Unable to locate the application's 'main' class. The class 'null' must be public and have a 'public static volid null(String)' method. (LAX)

You should try asking over at the Sports Interactive Forum. You may get more help there.
