Hi all,

Basically I'm looking at picking up Football Manager 2012 on disc when it's released in a few weeks time.

I have an MBA and so the question is as to whether or not I am able to install it on my laptop without downloading the whole file again through steam as I had to do with FM2011 so that I don't have to use the disc.

I normally wouldn't mind downloading it but being at university they have (very annoyingly) put a cap on downloads at 2 GB a day.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Jack

I am not 100% sure, but for copy protection this year you must activate your copy online on steam, then they say you can set steam to offline mode and play offline. I don't know if this means that steam will try to download the files or if it will run from the dvd.

If you are still struggling to download it, you could try a nearby cafe with open wifi or a public library? not ideal but will get you around the 2GB a day limit!
