Hi,

Tried to ask this on their Forum, but can't connect.
I imagine a number of you folks also use Thunderbird.

How, or where, from Thunderbird can I change the POP to iMAP, and vice versa ?

The selection box came up when I installed the program for the first time, but can't
seem to access, or find it anymore. How do I do this, please ?

Old age problem, so very exact details would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

Basically, you'd move all of your email in all folders to Local Folders, then setup a new account using IMAP on your existing email address. Then, start moving your email online, a folder at a time.

Correct. You won't be able to "convert" an existing Thunderbird account from POP to IMAP. You have to save your emails as sgtaylor5 says, remove the POP account, add the IMAP account and move your old email into new IMAP folders.

Yup, found this out the hard way. Deleted then re-downloaded all my folders from Gmail <sigh>
