... my MacBook? in browsing web? looking at pictures, videos, IM ? taking notes? how are web 2.0 pages in it (facebook, twitter etc.) ? how easy is to switch between pages (i am assuming there are no tabs?)

Is iPad recognizing faces if I import images using camera connection kit? or is the sync with Mac necessary for this? are there any picture edition features available?

I'm considering getting iPad to replace my "portable tasks' (as above) and go for iMac to replace "desktop tasks" (laptop+Cinema display set)...

Thanks in advance :)

As of now, I'd say no for the simple fact there's no multi-tasking on it, so if you're browsing the web, that's all you're doing until you close safari and fire up something else and so on and so on.. sure there's speculation multi-tasking is going to be added but it's far from guaranteed..
