For those having problems with Yosemite

Consider doing a clean install. Yeah...I know that sounds so Windows-esque, but th ere may be some software that's conflicting with doing an upgrade.

There are articles on MacWorld, and even on Apple's support site on how to create a USB installer.

I'll be as repetitive as this suggestion: consider Mavericks.

The thread title says it all: if you aren't having problems, whatever you did worked for you.

Had some weird issues with this Mini that were solved by a clean internet recovery install. And as far as Mavericks goes, Yosemite solved some problems that even reinstallation of Mavericks didn't cure on my rMBP.

It sounds then like you've got a third party program that's running in the background and causing whatever problems you're experiencing. The tough part is determining which one is the culprit. I had purchased Air Stylus to turn my iPad into a graphics tablet. Great concept, but had continuous problems on how it affected my computer.

I agree. I keep wondering about the people who have stated they have done a clean install and then state that it did not help. In my case, I had an issue being caused by a Wacom tablet driver which was causing a wake from sleep failure in which the computer would reboot after waking from sleep. Had I not done a clean install I could have blamed Yosemite on that problem.

Considering the issue I had with the Wacom driver I am do a cautious install where I don't re-install all the software at one time. So far, everything is working great.

I keep wondering about the people who can diagnose problems, and recommend a solution, without even knowing what the problem was, simply because they don't have a problem. ......

My problems surfaced with a CLEAN install and NO other program installed and simply involved intermittent WiFi. Mavericks under the same situation doesn't have any problem connecting, maintaining the connection, and reestablishing the connection coming out of sleep. I may try again with .3 or may not .....
