Thread title is misleading.

Article only talks about extending your Verizon contract to keep your already existing unlimited data for another two years before Verizon forces you off of it.

Yep only android phones will have unlimited 4g lte, iphone 5 users will be watching their data usage like hawks

Not true at all!

Only those that buy them at subsidized prices. If you're willing to pay full price or wait a few months and get a used one, you'll keep you're unlimited data no matter what phone you have.

If you buy ANY phone at the subsidized price and have unlimited data once the policy goes into effect, you'll lose it. Be it Android, iOS, Blackberry or Windows.

Depends on what market you're in. Why are you asking about at&t? Did you click on the link?

I have a feeling that no matter what iPhones are going to get screwed. I hope I'm wrong, I really do because I'd love to have the option of picking up a used one in the future and retaining unlmtd data but I don't think it's going to happen.

I don't think so. It will be hard for VZW to say that you can buy an Android phone at elsewhere and activate it but not an iPhone. That's a PR nightmare that they don't want to deal with.
