I was wondering...have you got any idea when the MacBook Pro will be arriving Apple's SoHo Store?

Yeah, but since the UK is getting shipped earlier I thought the stores got em earlier in the UK than in the US.

Im asking since I currently live in Chile, South America and I'll be traveling to NYC the 20th, so I would like to get the MacBook pro in the SoHo Apple Store in New York City.

But If they'll get em the 15th then I suppose that at the time I get there (the 20th) they are going to be sold out.

What do you think?

I wonder, if there is someone in the U.S. to give you a hand. This person could buy it for you anywhere in the U.S., even in NYC when the new M.B. pros arrive. Then ship/give it to you whenever you arrive. Just a thought, i don´t know if it may help you.

if the first shipments arrive on the 15th they may well sell out on the 15th....but they'll get more fairly quickly

Last spring I bought the rev B G5 imac right after it came out and what I found was that the stores only receive a little bit of stock at a time.....since there were people waiting for the merchandise to arrive the first shipments sold out quickly.....after a few days the store got another shipment and then a few days later another and after awhile they had taken care of the initial demand and then they were able to keep the product in stock

Yes, as nice as the SoHo store is (it's the nicest one I've ever been in), it won't get products before the other stores do.

Since I live 3000 miles away from NYC I cant do this.

Could anyone call the SoHo store and ask them when they will be getting the MacBook Pro?

I want to look at the new MBP and either today or Friday plan to visit Apple Soho in the afternoon. I have no idea if they are on display or not, but will post on that (unless their arrival has already been highlighted elsewhere).
