I had the issue that a lot of you had where you can't get a full charge. The scenario is like this...you plug it in and leave it charging over night, but when you wake up and look at your phone, the green battery indicator is about 95% full and the small icon still has a lightning bolt.

I called Apple Care about this yesterday and her advice was to reset my phone -- hold down the top button and the home button until the Apple logo appears. I did this and charged it over night and when I woke up this morning I had 100% charge and a plug icon instead of a lightning bolt. Granted this is only one day of testing, but it seemed to have worked.

Hope this helps some of you.

Dunno why that happens, but it happened for a few days with my iPhone, and I just left it alone and charged/used it regularly until one day it started to charge to 100% again.

I've tried everything else, I might as well give this a try. :) I get the "plug" icon in the corner, but the green battery never fills.

That happened to me one time....plug icon but not full green battery. The rest of the days it had the lightning bolt. Maybe this will help you! Can't hurt to try at least.

I get a plug in the top corner but the large battery stops at about 95% and never "glows". Also I never get usage data, always says it needs a full charge. Tried charging with WiFi off/on reset/restored the phone still the same. I'm guessing this will be fixed by a software update.

Spoke too soon. Charged it last night and it never fully charged. Never even reset the usage stats. Wonder what is going on...

How are you charging the phone? As strange as it sounds I never could get a full charge when I connected to the USB port or when I connected the cord right to the phone. It wasn't till I used the dock plugged right into the wall that I got, and continue to get a full charge.

I've got it plugged into the wall using the dock. I guess it works sometimes and not others. No idea what is going on.

As an aside: how are people getting a numeric reading of their battery life? I'd LOVE to see this for my iPhone, but I can't find a gauge that gives a specific value, just graphical representations.

Did 1.0.1 fix this for anyone? I still don't get the "glow" or usage information. I do get a plug in the top right corner.

the update fixed it for me, i used to randomly get the full battery. But the several times i have charged it since then it is full, with the subtle glow.

Damnit... I guess I'm going to have to contact Apple. It would be nice if there was documentation on the 1.0.1 update, saying if it fixed it or not.
