I use iTunes to grab podcasts, mainly because it's free and easy, but there are two limitations that I wonder about:

1) The settings only seem to be global, and I would like to set some podcast prefs differently (i.e., how often downloaded, how many, and how many to keep).

2) Podcasts can be "bookmarked" to save the point you stopped listening, but what about "dog-eared"? I am always coming across topics, segments, and quotes that are interesting and warrant future attention if ever I were to come across them again. This may be even more important if I decide to try out audiobooks. But I can't "mark" any time position permanently. Does anyone else think this would be a nice feature?

So the questions are: are either of these possible in iTunes? If not, are either of these possible in different podcast apps (that also sync nicely to my iPod/iTunes)?

1, I think they are global settings,
2, Could be useful to some, but how many people would actually use it?
