I had the original AirPods Pro and liked them when I had them. But they destroyed the hell out of my ears. After a few months, I had an allergic reaction and apparently a lot of you did as well and that’s when I said ah screw it and switched to other headphones. I am curious if anybody has tried the pro 2 that had an allergic reaction before. Did the new ones fix it?

Same material so doubt it
I started this thread because when a lot of us had this issue and we would talk to apple, they would tell each one of us they’re sending the information to engineers at apple and sometimes some would get in contact with us and ask us questions. They seemed pretty interested in fixing it. Plus, someone else in the thread about AirPods allergy came back and said they tried the gen 2’s and didnt have a reaction. So 🤷‍♂️crossing my fingers this issue has been addressed

There was a thread the other day where I believe someone said they didn't have a reaction (yet) to these. I was interested because I can't wear the silicone watch bands because of a reaction.

I think that different things are going on around these allergy problems. Some are affected by the silicon tips, but others like me are allergic to some component used in the body of the APP themselves. I’ve tried foam tips and the problem was exactly the same, ending with an horrible ear infection.
