Hey guys,

I am sending my iBook G4 to Apple in Elk Grove, CA for a new MacBook but I have been running into some problems with Apple Staff. There seems to be a lack of communication. I just got a shipping label through FedEx but Apple has not told what to use to pack or what to include in the packing. So I ask the people who have gotten replacement computers what happens during this process.

Hello noodle

My MBP is currently in the process of being replaced. (logic board issues) Apple sent through the shipping labels. I was asked to provide everything that came with the computer in originally; power cords, remote, disks, etc. (in short, return whatever was in the original box) As well, because of the fact that the computer was brand new, they also requested the original box.

Personally I would give Apple Services a call (reference your case number) and check with them about what they need returned. I suspect that you probably don't have the original box anymore. (due to the length of time that you've had the iBook) I can't see Apple expecting a customer to retain the box after a reasonable time period has elapsed.

I called AppleCare last night and they told me that by today (Monday) they would call me/send me emails on what to do.
