10.2 seems to fix that bug so the dock and folders will reappear

#firstworldproblem.

Yeah that dock is hideous. I jumped back to 10.1 for this very reason. Hopefully someone is able to find a way to do it in future versions but I'm happy where I am for now.

This may even make my chances of a jailbreak higher down the road. One can only hope!

I'm on 10.2 beta 1 and have the originally posted all black picture from the original thread and I've got the grey dock again. Was gone in 10.1

You have to follow the directions at the link posted above to remove the grey dock. The first one is what does it. You have to turn the reduce transparency off. Tested on 10.0.2 and this works.

Just turned off reduce transparency and it works on 10.2
