Is anyone looking forward to trying out the new 12.9 2021 screen to see if touch issues still exist, knowing the screen has been updated?

I certainly am, my 2018 iPad Pro 11" 1TB had ongoing touch issues, I even received a replacement iPad due to this, so I'm certainly looking forward to see if theses issued have improved or not.

Will see what happens...

I think it'll still have touch issues due to the similarities in design.

Oh I hope not :(

Was hoping the way it’s been designed with a different screen it might stop what was happening

At this point, only a fundamental change of the design (meaning the way touch screen work should change) would bring anything new IMO. But there’s gonna be only so many ways a touch screen can be designed to work.

I too also look forward to miniLED and wonder if burn in will be a thing on that. Plus M1 is really plentiful for iPad, unlike Mac.

Pardon my ignorance, never owned a pro so didn’t look into it much. But there’s still touch issues even in current models? Abs what exactly are they? I have a new 2021 m1 coming

Any place but here or there....
Yes, there are still touch issues (says a gal whose tried almost every single model iPad since 2017.) My 2020 11” iPad Pro had it and my 2020 Air does now.

That said, I will try a new iPad Pro (Will try to get delivery tomorrow, so I cancelled my online order for an 11” iPP).
I enjoy drawing on the iPad too much to completely throw in the towel. I do hope Apple fixes this though.

I’m not sure I’d buy another product if the first one had major interface issues just on the fact that the display technology changed a bit.

I have owned iPads since 2010 and have never had an issue with this, and I don’t know anyone that has either. I wouldn’t be concerned about it. Enjoy your iPad!
