Hi,

I restarted my computer last night and found everything reverted back to Oct settings (it is jan).

wait... now I think about it, maybe it's just the cache? For example, all of my passwords saved post Oct are no longer auto saved. The safari favorite sites are what they were in October. The iMessage only loaded up to October. I was playing fire emblem on dolphin and now my save file is not there. BUT!!!! I do posses the dolphin emulator on the computer, even though I didn't in Oct.

I have a mid 2011 21.5 inch Mac

OS X El Capitan 10.11

HD 500 and an SSD my brother got me.

I really don't know too much about anything, but I think this has something to do with the disk. When I try first aid on my SSD, it fails. October was around the time I switched to my SSD as the main disk. I've tried to read stuff online, but I can't follow it. Can anyone help me??

Thank You!

So the hard drive is still present in the system? It sounds like maybe the SSD dies and it defaulted back to the hard drive to boot from.

Restart and hold the option key at startup. That will bring up a boot manager where you can pick which drive to boot from. Can you select the SSD rom there? If you select the Hard drive from there does it take you to the October setup?

Okay wow, that worked. It looks like it defaulted back to the HD. Now I'm running on the SSD again and my fire emblem game is back!! haha. I will make this the default again and see if it will hold.

THANK YOU!!!
