What's going on everyone:

First off, thanks for all your help. I finally decided to buy a Macbook after reading all the good news about it on this forum.

I just ordered it today. According to the Apple Store they aren't even shipping it until the 18th. Does anyone know if this is common? Honestly, I'm hoping Apple announces the notebooks get Core 2 Duos, but I'm not holding my breath.

I just thought some may want to know.

Cheers,
CK

At the moment it is common because there is a huge overload for MBs because of people going back to school.

Congrats, you made a wise choice. Was it a custom order? sometimes than can delay it for weeks.

ram= 1GB
HD = 80

I figured it was just an order overload, Viccles. The good news is IF there are any updates announced on the 12th, I'm covered so I am exstatic. :cool:
