seems that that mobile is working on my imac, i can send e-mail & receive, after a week of not working. however I can not say the same for my iphone. no .mac or mobile me service. I can not send or receive on my iphone. any thoughts on any items that I can check. when I try to send a e-mail on my iphone I get the message: the connection to the outgoing sever "smtp.mac.com" failed. thanks for any thoughts or ideas.

Try deleting that account from your iPhone and then add it back on again. Mine worked fine with the default settings, so maybe yours got messed up somehow.

My MobileMe service has now been working correctly the last two nights though earlier today on my iPhone the service was off for a little bit
