Force boot OSX during incomplete Bootcamp Win7 Install

Hi

I have a Mac Pro running Snow Leopard, unable to complete a bootcamp install and now can't boot to OSX

I started a bootcamp install of Windows 7. I had a partition that I created on a HDD for this and called it BOOTCAMP. This partition was on a 250GB HDD with another partition that contains alot of applications and my music collection.

When I got to select the partition during the Windows 7 install, I went to select the BOOTCAMP partition and noticed that the partition size was 250GB and no sign of the other partition with my music and applications.

I decided to go back into OSX to look at my disks and move/back up the applications & Music. Also I don't particularly want to use 250GB on a Win 7 install.

I exited the install program but I am unable to boot into OSX, there are no chimes during the start up process. I have tried holding down the Option key and the cmd, alt, shift key and various other combinations, but it always goes back to the start of the Windows Install (or when there is not disc that it can't find a bootable disc in the Windows Boot style window).

Any ideas how I can boot into OSX?

Put your Snow Leopard install disc in your DVD drive and hold down the c key while booting up the Mac this should allow you to change the start up drive back to your Snow Leopard build on the HDD.

Alternatively if it is determined to boot Windows insert a windows install disc and hold down the f8 or f12 key while it starts up. It should go to the repair mode of the Windows installer and you can rebuild the busted install on the other partition.

I had my BOOTCAMP drive refuse to install till I erased the partitions on that drive and let it use the whole HDD, pain in the ass as I now have a 750 GB Win7 drive to flash GFX cards with. Windows is too stroppy by half.

If you have a Apple keyboard and press the Eject button during boot, it will also default to OSX.

or just remove the windows drive from the mac until you get the startup disk set again.
