Force delete a file?

There is a file in my Trash that I cannot delete. It says the file does not exist... any help? Thanks!

Try downloading and installing OnyX http://www.titanium.free.fr/ it's a freeware utility. When the Onyx toolbar pops up click on Cleaning near the bottom there will be a check box that says "Force Empty Trash" check it and then click the "Execute" button.

Also, restarting can sometimes clear up file deleting errors.
