I have a strange habit of force-quitting all of my apps by doing Cmd+Opt+Esc and pressing Enter a bunch. It's just convenient. But as long as all of my work is saved, is there any harm in force-quitting apps every single time I am done using them? Is it bad for my Mac?

I just think doing a keyboard shortcut and pressing Enter a bunch to close all of my apps is nice, but I guess Cmd+Q does the job just as well, lol...

I would expect it to cause some issues here and there but in reality cannot remember ever having any problems with it.

That's a very strange habit. I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you are shutting down right after. I generally never quit apps, just shut down my computer when I am done which will then quit everything for you.

agree with @haralds post.

Not for Mac, but for the App.
There could be plenty of work on the background, that could be corrupted or damaged.

But if the data is saved -- "Strong will crash everything!"

So, looks like some "mixed messages." I only do it when I have like 10 apps open (almost never) but I usually just press quit.
