i'm trying to cancel my third line with sprint without paying an ETF. i'm wondering if there is anyway to jailbreak my iPhone 6 plus which is on iOS 8.1.2 and force it to roam on another network therefor Sprint will just cancel it themselves. Any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks in advanced.

It doesn't work like that anymore. Sprint has set a limit for the amount of data you can use while roaming and once you reach it, they suspend data usage until you go back onto the Sprint network.

Here is a screenshot of the email I received from them:

thanks so much. guess I will just deal with it, lol. you were very helpful.

Just sell your phone to pay the etf and then say buy to sprint.
Your plan to defraud them will not work out.

the third line does not have equipment in it. the iPhone 6 Plus is my personal phone used on my 2nd line. so if I sold my iPhone to pay the etf, I wouldn't have a phone. but thanks for your advice.

Yep!

Sprint closed this loophole a few months back. Those days are now over!

That's up to you and your decision to make.
You can use any of those next programs that t mobile and others have available to get a new phone that works on the network that you want by making a small payment on your monthly bill towards it.
Good luck with whatever you decide to go with.
