Hi, Are there any extensions are methods to force safari to use html5 for youtube (and for other flash videos as well if thats possible) ?
I use Flash on Safari with ClickToFlash to control which content plays, and I have zero issues with it. Not all YouTube content is available in HTML5.Hi, Are there any extensions are methods to force safari to use html5 for youtube (and for other flash videos as well if thats possible) ?
First go to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and EXIT the HTML5 beta test. Then use this extension to force HTML not just on youtube.com, but also Youtube embedded videos.
The extension works well. Thanks for the reply. Are there any know performance issues with this player? I feel like the buffering speed has been dropped. Or maybe its my internet connection acting weird.
And thanks for all replies.
I believe the default setting is to play at 720p and that is a huge bandwidth video stream. Unless you are playing in a maximized full screen, you really don't need 730p. I went into the extensions settings and told it to set default playback to 360p and it much much faster and the videos still look good.
