Forced to install patch

Was anyone else forced to install the new security patch? I don't like the idea of being forced to install anything on my system. Is there a way to opt out of this forced installer?

The idea of them forcing a patch on me just leads me to think that they can remove things from your laptop if they so desire down the line. If something is installed on my laptop - it should be my decision.

turn automatic updates off? then when u in the mood to update click check for updates?
