This morning i transferred some files from my iMac to my 15" MBP (2016) using it in target disk mode, then i put it in my backpack to get to work, but since i was late i forgot to switch it off and just assumed it would shut off when i had closed the lid.
Unfortunately that was not the case and it kept running in TDM for about two hours, when i noticed my backpack was getting really hot: i checked and my MBP was boiling but no fans had been activated, anyways i shut it off asap and let it cool down. The battery had drowned to 45% from the initial 100%. Later, i was able to power it on eith no problems, but i'm worried about the status of the cpu and battery after this extreme overheat. Do i have to worry?
