Hi,
I’m wondering how many of you will reformat / reinstall macOS when all of your apps are running native on m1?
I’ll do it just to make sure that i don’t have any “slugg” left.

I really don't think you would be getting rid of much at all with a clean install for all of your native apps, versus leaving as is.

I usually do a clean install on my M1 MBA with each release but, haven't gotten around to it with 11.4.

Unless Apple removes the x86-64 libraries, I don’t think you gain much just removing Rosetta 2–it’s pretty small. It installs in seconds.

I will never do that, because it offers no benefit. I’ve been using the same “install”since Leopard. No clean installs. Each time I get a new computer I migration assistant the old to the new. And it’s been fine. Sure, my applications folder is full of apps that won’t run anymore, but it’s not like they make my mbp weigh more or something. Doesn’t bother me one bit.

My current install has lived since 2008 (through complete system restores with TimeMachine) I see no reason to reformat now after 13 years of running. Why fix something that isn’t broke.
