Anyone know what the deal with this app is? Strange that it is available in the app store but the description says you shouldn't buy it right now. I have been looking for something like this and would love to try it out (although the current price of $9.99 seems a little high). Does anyone know anything about it or where I could find more information? I goolged the app and developer to see if I could find a product page, but no luck.

Well spotted. Looks peculiar.
But I'd pay $1-$2 for a good forum app, which remembered login, could bookmark threads etc.

I'm assuming this would do its stuff by "screen scraping" a forum, which will not only be extremely resource intensive (battery drain) but likely quite slow too.

The only people who can actually do a proper forum app for their sites are the owners themselves - it would need full access to the database to be successful.

Has anyone ever seen another application for which the listing asked you not to buy it? Wonder why they would have even put it up.

They have updated the description. Price is still $9.99... I was hoping it would come down.

May 2nd, 2009 Update: A major update has been submitted for approval. Featuring improved forum compatibility, many interface improvements, and a whole lot more.

It doesn't. It's text only for one thing. It's still better to use than some forums I go to so I'll get some use out of it.

Definitely not worth the same amount of money as Tiger Woods at this point.

I saw this app to but passed on it's high price. Kahnyl, if you feel the app is not worth it you should post a review in the app store with your rating. Right now there is no rating whatsoever.

Yeah, I will.

I've tried adding some boards but I've only been able to get this one working so far.

Its a horrible app. UI is terrible, it doesn't work with loads of forums (and doesn't display any images of those that do work) and its faster to use Safari!

I've been waiting for something like this since before the app store. There's a few forums I frequent, where I even asked the forum owners if they could set up a format for mobile use, without the graphic content.

This app seemed to be just what I wanted.

I used their forum compatibility checker on their website to make sure it would do what I needed it to. It said "SUCCESS! This forum appears to work with our application." So I purchased this.

Guess what... It doesn't work. I'm out 3 bucks. because I checked first, I honestly feel scammed, and lied to for my money. If I had paid the $9.99, I would be quite upset. I'm REALLY hoping an update in the future fixes what ever problem is stopping me from using this app on the forums I visit.

The update for this came out yesterday, and I have to say, I am pleased with the new version. 90% of my issues have been fixed, and it now works with the forums I needed it to. It's not perfect yet, but certainly in the usable range. Those who already own this, check out the update, and let us know your thoughts too.
