Wow. If that works, that pricing is pretty good and starting to get into the range where the upgrade is worth it for the price.

Can someone find this on the corsair site? I would like to know if it is 1.5v or 1.35v

These are also available from Newegg.com for $229 Item#: N82E16820233216.

They are 1.5v so not sure if they will work in the Mini. I've only seen samsung at this capacity in 1.35v.

I'll start buying when they come down a tad more, or I find extra money. I could for sure use 12/16GB RAM in a MBP, 8 is almost not enough for multiple virtual machines and such.

Tried pull the trigger yesterday but newegg only had a single stick. I'd take 6 if they were available. Minimum would be a pair though.

Damn, looks like they don't ship internationally.

Why don't OWC reduce their pricing? $880 is utterly absurd for 16GB in 2011.

Why is it absurd? 8GB sodimms are not that old, the ones in newegg are the first i've seen that are so cheap, but they don't even have stock might've been a typo or something :S

Availability is very poor at the moment. OWC was one of the first to offer 8GB sticks, maintains stock and should be higher quality. OWC's price has dropped 50% over a year on 8GB sticks. Amazon lists high quality Samsung 8GB sticks but they are at least 2 weeks out. The Corsair is typically value memory as well. Just saying.

it better not be a typo as I paid 229 for it. they say it is being shipped to my home. right now I have the 2 samsung sticks and they are great. I have one elpida stick and one corsair stick on the way. The only sticks I have tested are the samsung and they are hard to get. the corsair is due the 14th the elpida is due the 13th. I wish i could get the samsung for the 300 each that i paid but they were an ebay buy. Always a gamble with that type of item
