Found an odd little bug: iPad spotlight launches the wrong song

Maybe this will prove useful to someone else since I googled "ipad spotlight plays songs out of order" for this problem and found no solution.

Basically, the spotlight search on the iPad has a minor bug that makes it play the wrong songs. I frequently like to use spotlight to launch a particular song that's on my mind and I found on the iPad that clicking a song from the search results often launches the wrong song.

If I search for a talking heads song for instance and click on it in the results, I'll instead get another song on the same album. I eventually realized the bug/problem is the shuffle in the iPod app. If shuffle is on, it ignores your song choice and shuffles to a random song from the album, not the one you searched for.

I wonder if there's a place I can report this minor inconvenience to apple?

This happens to me on my iPhone and ipad all the time. And I mean 75% of the time I use spotlight to find a song

That's really odd.. Never has happened to me on my iPhone or an iPod.
After reading this thread I just searched 10 times, 10 different songs and every time it played the correct song..(iPad)
Are you guys on jail broken iPads perhaps? I tried 10 times to re create the situation and couldn't do it..
Whenever a "handful" of people have problems like this it always puzzles me.. I don't know a lot about programming and what not but I always wonder why some people have problems and some don't.. Like wifi iPad issues. I have none.. Other people have it pretty bad.. Is it just a bad batch of hardware or what?
Hopefully the software update apple has in the works will fix everyones problems..

Yes, really odd. I'm sure at least some of the people in this thread who are facing the problem haven't jailbroken their iPads. As for me, I don't have the problem either and tried recreating this with Shuffle, repeat on, repeat off, etc. eventually going through all of the combinations of options, but every time, the Spotlight search works just fine. I hope the issue gets fixed within the next update.
