Found iPhone in work.

1 month ago i found a Black iPhone 3g in work, i handed it in as anybody decent would and they said if no one claims it in a month you can have it, so now, a month later i have it.

i've brought it home and i now know that the sim reader and holder is broken, it is constantly stuck on one screen saying please insert a valid sim, how can i get past this to use the iPhone as an mp3?

maybe buy or barrow a good sim card holder.

Connect it to your PC then jailbreak it. I forget if you have to do anything to activate it, but that should work fine without a sim.

Did you look up the serial # on the apple site. Maybe it is still under warranty and you could get it fixed / replaced for free
