It's on the left speaker grill maybe 3/4 inch from the left side of the laptop. I can push down a small spot and it will bounce back up with a click. I suspect that it's due to the ports on the left side so the metal isn't firmly attached via screws. Only discovered by accident and I bought it last year.
Do I care? No. It's otherwise perfect.
I know that some other folks have had more serious issues, particularly the hinge being too tight. But this is as perfect as my 2014 MacBook Pro 15 (bought new in 2014).
