Hi everyone.
Does anyone know if there is a way to cap the framerate of games at 30fps in mac os x?
I'm asking this because I have installed warcraft 3 on my MBP for a bit of casual, lite gaming on the move now and then. nothing strong on the GPU. But the framerate is at something like 180fps and is heating up the macbook within the first 5 minutes of play (seriously, istat is reporting that the gpu is at 85 degrees celsius!). obviously if there was a way of capping the framerate at 30fps it would be much less strain on the GPU.

Any suggestions?

limit the fps in WoW

All one needs to do is: in the chat field type:

/console maxfps XX (XX being the desired fps frame limit)

You might want to google it for the latest info.
