Someone somehow got a hold of my Apple Card and ordered a iPad Pro without my permission. Is there a way for apple to recover or track it ?

I would think instead of posting here, your first call would be to Apple Card to report it and let them advise you what the process is. And if you want to, let us know what happens. It might help someone else.

Well I did they said they work hand in hand with police but I’m not for sure about that. They even said no sense in me getting a police report

I was posting to see if anyone else had this happen and what the outcome

This.. You need to contact Apple Card support immediately! It's up to the local police in that area to do any recovery or catching the bad guys. Apple reports it to police but this is a low priority in the grand scheme of things. Think of it like shoplifting at your local big box store.

Also think about how your card was compromised. Do you still have the physical card. If you used it somewhere it's likely you got caught by a skimmer. This is why I try to use Apple Pay

I would contact your local police department to get its perspective and advice.

Yes, I had this happen. My Apple Card was stolen from the mail. Someone used it at Subway. I used Messages to contact Apple which referred me to a Goldman Sachs rep who cancelled the card and removed the charge from my account. I didn't want the card anyway, so didn't ask for a new one.

This can happen with any credit card. First thing is to contact the provider, in this case Apple, and have them cancel the order. Then ask to have the card canceled, and replaced if you desire.

Hard to know how they got hold of the number. This has happened to me several times over the last several decades. Most card providers have become pretty good at detecting fraud. They usually contact me to ask if a suspicious purchase is valid or not.

With my Chase-based VISA card they've known about and intercepted any suspicious activity that's happened on it in the last 13 years. I also get instant notifications when transactions are made. I'd be concerned if I had a new card that didn't rise to that level.

If you didnt want the card then why the heck apply for one?

I didn't. I added my wife to the Apple card account and they automatically sent a physical card. I contacted Goldman Sachs and asked them to cancel and they said they would. They didn’t and sent the card anyway. It was stolen before it reached our address.

Wouldn't it have to be activated first?

Yes they do. They are useless without activation.
I guess that's why the charge was declined. It says "Card Replaced", but it wasn't.
