I need a free or very cheap program to record input from an iMic to aiff files, and then be able to edit the files. It only needs to do simple editing, splitting tracks, and hopefully some cleaning of static.

I want to record old albums into CDs. Currently I am using Sound Studio, and like it very much, but it expires soon, and I don't want to plunk down 50 bucks.

Thanks
