A nice free app that's done well. The Bryce 3D like terrain works well. Controls and easy to use, you can even adjust it while a shot is still in the air.

There are 15 levels, some repeat backgrounds, but each time you play, it's randomly picked and placement. The higher the level you are at, the more targets you have, and some move.

You have 15 shots. Use all you're ammo at any of the 15 levels, you start over.

On my first try I finished all 15 levels for a final score of : 185,300

The explosion and vibrate is satisfying when you hit a target. But it's a little jarring as you hit the last target and switches to a new location. Every shot, missed ones or targets, will leave black smoke for the rest of the level.

I wish it had some kind of gear or cranking sound when adjusting the elevation.

Man, this game reminds me of the old Apple IIGS game I used to play in junior high school...I guess it was called 'Cannon'? That game was always so much fun...wish I could find a simulation of it online somewhere like they do NES ROMs.

Great pickup, I'm gonna get this app! Thanks for the heads up.

Glad this game was released. I hope Worms makes its way into the app store, too.

After reading this article, I wonder if Cannon will be pulled due to using force feedback on explosions?

I don't see how that article is accurate. MotionX also uses the vibration for force feedback.

Ah, didn't know MotionX also used vibrate. Seems like the article's mention of the unwritten force feedback rule is just speculation.

(BTW, I feel like I just got caught reading a Gizmodo comic inside my MacRumors text book ;))

I beat it on my 5th or 6th try and had a score of 195,200. I like it. I'll keep it to entertain my 8-year old son.
