Hi there.

I'm looking into ways to turn my photos into Flash slideshows and post them online. I do not currently have any software that will create Flash for me (including Keynote, which apparently will do it, or Flash itself). I've recently discovered however that there are several ways to do it free. I'd like to know if anyone has tried these, and in general brainstorm ideas as to which is best.

Some examples:

1. Flickr.com will generate Flash slideshows from your images for free. But they give you hardly any control. You pretty much have to use their format, and it's extremely hard to find ways to remove their logo.

2.simpleViewer looks great though I haven't used it. I also can't tell if it's just for personal use, or if you can use it to publish Flash slideshows online. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks so much!!!

Did you try any trials of the above software that you mentioned? Flash has a 30 day trial if that helps and Keynote comes on a disc with the 30 day trial as well. Hope this helps with the free portion of your Q
The other part I haven't tried as of yet in Flash 8 or Keynote, sorry about that.

I use SimpleViewer w/ iPhoto Export. Couldn't be easier. 100% free too. Just download iPhoto Export. It allows you to export your pictures in iPhoto to one of 3 viewers. Simpleviewer, PostCard Viewer, or AutoViewer. They are all really cool and simple. I use SimpleViewer on my Photography Albums on my website, kevinschaefer.net. Here are 3 examples of the 3 viewers. PS, AutoViewer is more a SlideShow. Oh and it makes everything for you, including all the HTML files, just throw it on the web.

Yes. You can export Keynote Files into Flash all in Keynote. Go to File > Export > Flash Tab. It *only* does the actual slide, no transitions, animations, etc.

Only problem with that one is you have to have Flash Studio which the OP doesn't have.

Thanks for the samples and the link, those look great and as you said simple :) I like the last one best but that's just me. Cool photos you have there, where are they from?

Hi. Sorry, I just returned the post now. If you're asking about my website, as stated the beach pictures were taken at Ocean City, Maryland. The "Dark Hollow Woods" is around Pittsburgh, PA. My Hometown.:p Most of the miscellaneous ones were taken in my back yard. Did you ever use Autoviewer on your site?
