Free iPad Ripper for Music and Video?

Are there any free iPad rippers for OS X?

My iPad came loaded with music and a dozen movies when my friend brought it from the states, and I now want to sync it with my account, but want to remove the media first.

Most rippers seem to offer a free trial that only let's you rip up to 1,000 songs.

I need to rip a bunch of songs and some movies.

Music - iTunes?
Video - Handbrake http://handbrake.fr/ it's the favourite as far as I'm aware, also comes with predefined settings for each device (not sure if there's an iPad setting yet, but if you search their forum there'll probably be a guide telling you which settings to use).

I need to rip music and movies FROM an iPad TO my Mac. There are probably over 1000 songs on the iPad and a dozen movies.
