Hey is there an alternitive to Mobile Me that is free, and that works with hotmail?
Do a search for "MobileMe Alternative" and you'll get tons of answers.
I did search and yet ive found nothing. I want a way to sync my hotmail emails and if I delete them off my ipod they will delete from my inbox. and a way to sncy calenders and contacts for free
Get a Gmail account and use IMAP with your iPhone. Gmail can do 2 way calendar sync with iCal now and also iTunes can sync your Gmail contacts with your address book.
One thing to be aware of (I think) is that while Gmail can two-way sync with iCal, I don't think you can put an iCal calendar on an iPhone or and iPod touch and update it from there. From what I can tell a calendar doing a 2-way sync with iCal and Gmail is read-only under those circumstances.
Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.

There is no push email support currently, but the best you can do is retrieve email every 15minutes.
For something similar to iDisk, try DropBox or 'live mesh' from Microsoft.
For photo gallery stuff, try Picasa for Mac.
Actually how it works is if you make changes to events in iCal, those changes get pushed out to your Gmail account as well. When you sync your calendar with your iPhone, you can make changes to events on your phone or add new ones and the next time you sync with iTunes those changes get pushed out to Gmail as well.
I must be missing something b/c I'm seeing no way to add new events to an iCal/Google Calendar while it's on an iPod touch. And according the Macworld article linked above, it can't be done.
I even tried doing on my touch earlier, and I couldn't choose my "work" calendar (which is a google/ical calendar) as an option when adding events.
No, I can do the two-way sync with iCal and Google Cal. What I'm saying is that I can't edit the calendar once it gets onto my iPod touch. It seems like it must be read only as far as the mobile platform goes.
If you use a free or not-free push mail account with gmail, you can get notified (push) of selected email. It's very nice if you get a lot of mail. There is no push email support currently, but the best you can do is retrieve email every 15minutes.

Yes, yahoo mail is one of the free push email choices. Push email isn't instant, however; it ranges anywhere from a short moment to many minutes (and higher).would yahoo work with push instantly?
