Just like many others I am waiting for the iMac to get a little speed bump before I purchase it. The think is though the $99 printer offer ends on 1/21 and I need a new printer. Now on the other hand I could wait another 2 months to see if the iMac will be updated. But by then the printer deal will be no longer unless of course they extend it.

So should I buy now with free printer

or

Wait and hope for a upgraded and possibly not have the free printer option.

thanks

It says it ends 1/21 but it never really ends! The printer rebate thing has been going on forever.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the printer deal thing always gets extended.

The printer rebate has been running continuously for some time now. When this rebate ends a new one will spring up with new printer models to get the rebate on.

Cool good to know.

First Mac and I can't wait to get my hands on the 24" iMac

Yep, and it ain't worth $99, either -- you can often buy the printer from
Amazon (or somesuch) for much less than Apple's "regular price." For
example, the Canon MP610 is $200 (plus tax) from Apple, and about
$150 (tax free) from Amazon -- so the "$99 rebate" is worth < $50.
