FREE Push email?

Hey guys,

couldnt find a post about, so sorry in advanced if ive repeated a thread.

Do you know if theres any email provider, where i can can emails pushed straight to my iPhone? I have mobileme and it works brilliantly, however my fiance wants the same but doesnt want to pay for the mobileme service. Do you know if google, yahoo or anyone else can do push email?

Yahoo has free push email for the iPhone. Reports of its reliability vary, however. (I don't use it - fetching every 15 minutes from my Gmail accounts is plenty of updating for me.)

How does fetch and push work? and how do they affect the battery life?

Giz did a post on this yesterday from lifehacker, I've set it up and it works great. Just follow all their instructions. The push service is provided from Microsoft for free and covers Contacts, Calendar, and Email.
