I was browsing the top free apps, and noticed "WhitePages mobile" which offers Reverse Phone lookup. I downloaded and tried it, and it was able to correctly identify most numbers, and for the numbers it couldn't identify, it still gave the approximate location, carrier, and whether it's a cell or landline number. This seems like a useful app that I hadn't noticed before.

News to me too. I've stopped looking at all the new apps every day or so and I've missed a few good ones. Glad I saw this thread. That's a handy app

whats the point of people being smart asses with the comments on here..some people have other things today then to read this blog all day and play with their iphone..diesel get a life

news to me too. I havent been on a bunch and seeing threads with some new-er apps is awesome.. I dont check it as often as i did before either..

I will check it out.. Google does NOT work at all for reverse look up unless its a listed business.

real mature.

your third post ever on macrumors is to tell me to get a life? well when you actually begin helping others within this community instead of slinging personal insults, then maybe you'll have a leg to stand on.

pointing out that an app has been out for a while is hardly a smartass comment

sorry gillybean for taking your thread off topic with the previous post but i had to respond, especially to someone who hasn't contributed anything to this community

Old news for some, new to me and to others...so I can see why your comment was taken as a jab instead of helpful. No worries here.

who cares how many posts the person had.. it was a useless comment. You could have, AT LEAST, said it has been out for some time in a nicer fashion. It was a tad short and rude.

Thanks, Gillybean. I wouldn't have heard about this app if you hadn't posted it, and I'll be glad I have it.

If we're not supposed to post about apps we like, this forum might be a little too slow :)

(It's always odd when someone thinks another person's thread shouldn't exist, so instead of ignoring it and enjoying the threads they DO like, they spend time bumping the one they don't! :p )
