Free trial after family membership?

does anyone know if you can qualify for a free individual trial after having been part of a family membership? Asking for a friend ;-)

with Family sharing, you add users, so its still in your name... anyone added only *becomes" accessible to purchase apps, listen to your music etc... it doesn't give them control... as its still your subscription.
