Last night I got notice in iTunes of a few applications that had updates available. One was the free version of MobileFiles. However, when I tried to update that, I was informed it was not in the App Store. I checked this morning and only the two pay versions of the application were there.

I can't decide whether to care a lot about this. It was a way to transfer files to the iPhone and view them. But there are other solutions too.

Edit: See my post #4 in this thread about its reappearance for a limited time.

Just because it disappeared from the App store doesn't mean it will disappear from your computer/phone. MobileFiles free version will still continue to work, for anyone who owns it. I think the 2.0 version looks cool, though. It would be sweet to be able to send attachments in emails.

Right you are on that. :)

I still think it's too bad for those who haven't already found a way to manage MobileMe from their phones. And I have thought of paying for an upgrade to one of the other versions. I might just do that when the pro version adds the ability to edit Word files on the iPhone.

Well, what do you know. I just got notified of an update on the free version on my iPhone. The What's New description says it is the last update to the free version and advises people to get now, before it's gone.
