Anyone know if any grocery store chains have free wifi in their stores for customers to use?

Holy hell I hope not!
As though maneuvering through the stores with a cart trying to dodge every mother with her over-loaded cart and her two unruly children is hard enough!

I like to get in-get out. Self checkout ... I'd like to thank the dude who thought this one up! Though I believe an IQ test is in order prior to being able to use it.

I hope its not tied to the cash registers !!!

Early one, there were a bunch of retail shops that installed wifi to connect their registers to the internet to do credit card/check validation. In some cases, they either ran no security, used the default pass phrases for their wireless access point, or used 40bit WEP that was broken very easily. By now, I am assuming that all of this has been fixed ... if you get access, but they don't advertise the feature, I would worry about transacting business there.
