Hi

I'm looking to make a handbook in word or pages.

been looking for free templates with no luck

paid ones seem very expensive

any ideas?
What kind of layout are you looking for? I've created a bunch of handbooks, pamphlets, and handouts that are variations of a single letter sized paper (but could be tweaked for something like A4) that are oriented in landscape and folded in half (left to right) and printed duplex. If I have something that could work for you, I'd be happy to send you whatever would help.

The challenge is in creating a handbook that is more than a single sheet of paper (4 "pages" in the booklet), because the sequence of booklet pages is not sequential but flips because of how the pages are assembled.

This is a piece of cake in the old 4.3 version of Pages (iWork 09) since it supports linked text boxes. But the latest version of Pages (7.3) has only rudimentary support for linked text boxes and won't work. (this is why I keep both versions of iWork installed)

So if no help with free templates what’s the best place for paid templates
Thanks

Did you try the Mac App Store? Lots of free templates for both Word and Pages. Also many template collections for both apps but require buying them. Also regarding Word.... Microsoft has lots of free templates for download. The MS templates work equally well for both the Mac and PC versions of Word. Check here for the free MS templates.

Hi. yeah lots of the free ms ones are tri fold, don't want that

Could you possibly recommend a particular app if possible, there's so many

thanks for your help and time
