Hello all,
I'll be going on vacation overseas in a couple weeks, and I wanted to download some movies to my phone. However, it looks like I've gone and used up most of my 64gb of storage.

Most of it seems to be in Music, so I'd be willing to remove some songs, but I'm unclear: if I choose to "delete" a song from the phone's storage section, could I still download it from iCloud?

Also, somehow my phone has 10gb just from "books", even though I only have two books downloaded on the device. Does this sound correct???

Anything you delete off your phone can be re-downloaded from the cloud at a later date. Music, movies, books, etc.

Delete the books and see if the space goes down. If not, something else is going on. If it does, you have your answer. Don't be afraid to delete something.

Try using Battery Doctor on the App Store to clear some of the cache stored on your phone.

Only can download from iCloud if you store copies there. Depending upon how you do things all music etc. isn't stored there. If Apple music or match then you would be OK

I ended up having to restore the phone.... I deleted the books but still 12gigs were showing.

Did a restart with no luck, but a restore emptied it all.
